I was minding my own business, scrolling through my discover feed on Instagram and then
It perfectly captures how I’d been feeling about my workload as of late. Reminding me that it’s okay to admit sometimes that you may be going a bit slower than desired, but at least you’re still going.
I immediately clicked on her profile and scrolled through her feed, I sent her a message expressing how much I loved her work.
I asked Rosi if she’d be happy answering some questions so that her awesome work can be shared, as we learn a bit more about her.

1. What's your name?
My name is Rosi Yip
2. Where are you from?
I grew up in London but I live in Bristol
3. What is your craft?
I’m an illustrator, designer and ceramicist
4. Did you study? If so what and where?
I studied Fine Art at Oxford Brookes uni
5. What inspires you to create?
I find people really inspiring. Whether that’s other artists or just in my day to day life. I enjoy sharing things which helps me to create relatable and humorous work.
6. If you had the opportunity to undergo the project of a lifetime. What would you do?
It would definitely be something to do with my clay ladies. I’d love to be in a themed exhibition with similar artists, I think it would really broaden the way I approach my work.
7. What other artists and humans inspire you?
My favourite artist and ceramicist at the moment is Milo Hachim
8. How important is community to you as an artist?
Community is definitely important. It helps me to push ideas and allows me to share things with people that are interested and understand.
9. What is your work ethos?
Do what you do because you love doing it. I make things because I authentically love and enjoy making them.
10. Where would you like to see yourself (and your artwork) in 5 years’ time?
In 5 years I hope to have my own studio and to be working more or less full time on my own business.
